Music Video of the Day: It almost didn’t happen, but now it has: 24 hours ahead of the street date for his first LP in five years, “Weird Al” Yankovic drops the visuals for his controversial Lady Gaga parody “Perform This Way.”
All proceeds from the song and music video will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign.

Follow Up of the Day: Weird Al offers an update on “The Gaga Saga“: Turns out Lady Gaga’s manager never passed on the parody single to the singer! (Or so she claims.)
Even though we assumed that Gaga herself was the one making the decision (because, well, that’s what we were TOLD), he apparently made the decision completely on his own. He’s sorry. And Gaga loves the song.
So the song will be on Weird Al’s album after all, and a music video will be produced, and all proceeds will go to the Human Rights Campaign as promised.
Here’s to happy endings! (Especially ones that involve Weird Al getting to make a Lady Gaga parody video.)
