Apr. 2, 2011

In Case You Missed It of the Day: As promised, Stephen Colbert, Taylor Hicks, and The Roots come together on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for the “Friday” performance to end all “Friday” performances. (Seriously, enough with the “Friday” performances.)

Breaking Friday News of the Day

Mar. 30, 2011

Breaking Friday News of the Day: Long story short, Jimmy Fallon promised to get Stephen Colbert to perform Rebecca Black’s “Friday” on his show this Friday if $26,000 were raised for education projects through DonorsChoose.org by then.

Much to Colbert’s chagrin, the $26,000 mark has just been crossed, meaning he will be forced to make good on Jimmy Fallon’s pledge.

Though Friday is April Fools Day, The Jimmy Fallon / Stephen Colbert Project page promises that this is no joke, so set your DVRs if this is something you’d like to see.

Rich Bitch of the Day

Mar. 9, 2011

Rich Bitch of the Day

Rich Bitch of the Day: Poking fun at The Daily EIC Jesse Angelo’s editorial staff request to find “the oldest dog in America, or the richest man in South Dakota,” Stephen Colbert issued a bar-raising challenge to Rupert Murdoch’s iPad-only newspaper: Find the richest dog in South Dakota.

Today, The Daily delivered with a splashy feature on Miss Charlie Brown — the English cocker spaniel of former South Dakota Senate Majority Leader Barb Everist, whose husband Tom is a Sioux Falls-based mineral magnate with an estimated worth of $130 million.

But Miss Charlie Brown isn’t as pampered a pup as you might think. “This isn’t a Paris Hilton kind of dog,” Ms. Everist told The Daily.

After Hours

Feb. 24, 2011

After Hours

After Hours: On tonight’s Colbert Report, during an interview with Salon.com’s Glenn Greenwald about Anonymous rival HBGary, a Guy Fawkes mask was very briefly superimposed over Stephen Colbert’s face.

Check it out in the video below:

I know Anonymous say to expect them, but I’ll admit I did not see this one coming.
