Madonna Miffed At MIA of the Day

Feb. 10, 2012

Madonna Miffed At MIA of the Day

Madonna Miffed At MIA of the Day: Madonna is finally opening up about the now-infamous MIA bird-flipping incident that took place during her Super Bowl halftime show.

Speaking on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning, Her Madgesty said she didn’t even know about the digital malfunction until after the show.

“I found out about it in the elevator to get to the car and get to the airport,” she told the American Idol host. “I wasn’t happy about it. I know it’s kind of punk-rock and everything, but to me, there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity, and it just seemed negative.”

She later added that she thought it was “kind of a teenager irrelevant thing to do.”

After hanging up with Seacrest, Madonna phoned Carson Daly and spoke with him about the middle-finger fiasco as well, revealing that M.I.A. has since apologized.

It was reported earlier that, should the FCC fine NBC and the NFL for M.I.A.’s behavior, the singer would be required to pay for it out of pocket.

APB of the Day [UPDATED]

Feb. 10, 2012

APB of the Day

APB of the Day: A man who served a 10-year sentence for stalking Madonna has escaped from a mental hospital in Los Angeles.

54-year-old Robert Dewey Hoskins is said to be “a very psychotic man when not taking his medication” and is prone to “very violent tendencies,” according to a statement by the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was convicted in 1996 of stalking, making terrorist threats — among them, telling Madonna he would “slice her throat from ear to ear” if she didn’t marry him — and assaulting Madonna’s bodyguard.

Hoskins was sent to the Metropolitan State Hospital in the LA suburb of Norwalk after he had an unrelated encounter with police. He reportedly left the institution last week.

Individuals with information concerning his whereabouts are asked to call Det. Charles Dempsey at (213) 996 1300.

Kids Vogue In Front Of The Darndest Bluescreens of the Day: Robert Jeffrey explains that, in the Summer of ’91, when he was nine years old, his parents took him to Hampton Beach Casino in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, where a business was offering tourists the opportunity to lip-synch in front of a blue screen to their favorite pop songs. “I was lucky enough to partake that summer,” says Robert.

No, no, dear Robert: It is we who are lucky enough that you partook.
