Breaking Jersey Shore News of the Day: MTV isn’t letting Jersey Shore‘s fourth season shooting delays slow down the brand’s momentum, announcing today that it has greenlighted not one, but two Shore spinoffs set to air next year.
The first, an as-yet-untitled 12-episode series starring Snooki and Jwoww, will follow the pumpkin and her plastic companion around as they “deal with life and love.” The second, an as-yet-untitled 12-episode series starring Pauly D, will follow the spiky-haired plate-spinner around as he hits the road in his capacity “as one of the country’s most in-demand DJs.”
If you thought you were getting off light, forget about it. “I think we have breakout stars in all of our cast members,” MTV’s executive VP of programming Chris Linn told ShowTracker, adding that the network is in TV show talks with some of Shore‘s other personalities. “There was no real strategy as far as who got a show first,” he says. “These were ready to go.”
