Chris Brown Offends Everyone Tour of the Day

May. 6, 2012

Chris Brown just can’t catch a break. Despite somehow still having legions of fans and tons of money, he never quite escapes that one thing he’s known for (and with good reason). So it’s no real surprise that people with common sense are still highly critical of him. Now, Brown is catching heat for a dog breeding/puppy selling site that he started as his side job.

PETA, as well as a host of other animal-friendly organizations, are taking shots at Brown for breeding pit bulls and selling them at a premium price, when there are pit bulls that are in need of being adopted. Says SpcaLA president Madeline Bernstein:

There is no reason to breed and produce more pit bull puppies when there are pit puppies waiting for homes in every shelter in America.

For his part, Brown’s reps have said that the puppies are not being bred and that they are the offspring of his family’s dogs, and the site is now empty. Still, the internet needs a record of Brown’s bad decisions, if only to create a large archive of stupidity for everyone to read.

How About That of the Day

Mar. 14, 2012

 - How About That of the Day

Personal emails obtained by Syrian opposition activists from two secret accounts over a period of nine months are said to have been penned by Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and his wife, Asma.

Among the many things they reveal — a duplicitous attitude towards promised reforms, detailed advice from Iran on handling the uprisings, and extravagant jewellery and furniture purchases — is perhaps the most enlightening piece of intel about Assad’s personality: He’s a Chris Brown fan.

According to The Guardian, which has pored over the thousands of emails, the Syrian tyrant used a secret iTunes account to purchase his very own copy of Chris Brown’s hit single “Look at Me Now.”

Other songs that tickled Assad’s fancy: “Don’t Talk Just Kiss” by Right Said Fred, “Bizarre Love Triangle” by New Order, and “God Gave Me You” by Blake Shelton, which Assad forwarded to his wife.

Perhaps the most telling song in Assad’s iTunes arsenal, however, is LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It,” which he bought back in January.

He is also on record as having purchased Part 2 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which clearly speaks to his inner Voldemort.

Punch Line of the Day

Feb. 9, 2012

Punch Line of the Day

Punch Line of the Day: Times of India, the world’s most widely circulated English-language newspaper, published this terribly tasteless joke involving singer Chris Brown and his 2009 physical assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna in today’s Delhi edition.

“Is this ‘joke’ in Delhi Times really about beating women, in country where 1/3 will experience physical violence?” asks Anna Barry-Jester, the Delhi-based photographer who spotted the bit. “It is just a joke,” Forbes India reporter Ashish Mishra said in response to criticism.

What say you? Just a joke?

Follow Up of the Day: Chris Brown Apologizes

Mar. 24, 2011

Follow Up of the Day: Chris Brown appeared on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday, and took the opportunity to apologize for his GMA smash-and-dash. Brown said he is “disappointed in the way I acted,” but that he had to release “the anger that I had inside of me,” adding that — despite co-host Robin Roberts’ claim that Brown was aware questions about Rihanna would be asked — he felt exploited and consequently “let off steam in the back.”

On yesterday’s GMA, Roberts wished him well on behalf of the GMA staff, and invited him back on: “[W]e’ve extended the invitation to him and I sure hope that he takes us up on it, because we’d love to have another chat with him.”

Here’s hoping that by “chat,” Roberts means the “five minutes alone” kind.

When Celebs Attack of the Day

Mar. 22, 2011

When Celebs Attack of the Day

When Celebs Attack of the Day: Chris Brown went on this morning’s Good Morning America to talk about his new album. Naturally, the Rihanna incident was brought a number of times, much to Brown’s chagrin. Following the interview, things apparently took a turn for the belligerent, as Brown, still incensed by Robin Roberts’ line of questioning, threw a window-smashing tantrum, after which he bolted from the studio shirtless (see pic above).

TMZ reports that Brown took to Twitter to express his rage, tweeting: “I’m so over people bringing this past sh*t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bullsh*t.” That tweet has since been removed.
