This Looks Shopped of the Day

Nov. 26, 2011

This Looks Shopped of the Day: Travis writes: “For the third year in a row, I sent in this photo of my good friend Jimberly to the local NBC affiliate in my city, KNDU. And, just between you and me, Jimberly is a shopped masterpiece of my friends’ various facial features stitched together. You may remember him from this same day last year.”

Happy 10th birthday, Jimberly! And congrats on another year of sneaking past the powers-that-be at KNDU, who clearly can’t tell by the pixels despite having seen quite a few shops in their time.

[thanks travis!]

Lights Out

Lights Out

Lights Out: Good night. Sleep tight. Don’t let the bed bugs crawl into your earhole and lay their bed bug eggs inside your external auditory canal.

Death Cheaters of the Day

Nov. 25, 2011

Death Cheaters of the Day: A couple walking down Brook Street in Peterborough thanked their lucky saunter after missing an exploding manhole by a few short steps.

A CCTV camera mounted on a nearby nightclub caught the blast, just as it did the first time around a mere three weeks earlier.

“They are fixing it now but why wasn’t it done before?,” asked 25-year-old Daniel Madge, who was strolling through Peterborough city center with 22-year-old Stacey Peters. “If we had been a little further ahead it could have taken our legs off.”

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said it was investigating the exact cause of the explosion. He added that a redundant electricity cable was found and “made safe.”

As for Madge and Peters, they may want to steer clear of tanning beds for the foreseeable future.

Rehearsal Movie of the Day

Nov. 25, 2011

Rehearsal Movie of the Day: MeFite rudhraigh explains: “When they were making The Karate Kid, they decided to shoot each scene’s rehearsal with budget cameras so the actors could watch themselves back afterwards.”

The result? A unintentionally hilarious alternate version of the classic movie that looks like it was Sweded by a bunch of Middle School kids with nothing better to do on a summer afternoon.
