Early Bird Special: So, apparently, if you tell a National-brand elevator that you want to go up, prevent it from closing its doors until you hear a “nudge,” and then chose a lower floor, it will cause the cab to “course correct” about halfway up to the next level and drop five feet at free-fall speed.
In other words: DIY amusement park!
