When Celebrities Attack of the Day: Aging Lawrence of Arabia star Omar Sharif was snapping photos with fans on the red carpet outside the Doha Tribeca Film Festival, when a woman attempted to cut in line.
Sharif didn’t like it, and smacked the fan in the face, scolding her in Arabic for not waiting her turn. ”Omar Sharif just hit a woman,” tweeted a witness, “very stupidly, in front of a camera.”
The woman appeared to be in good spirits after the incident, which the witness said later was “unintentional contact.”
TMZ reminds its readers that Sharif has a history of temper-related incidents, including attacking a police officer in Paris and a parking attendant in Beverly Hills. He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery for the latter offense.
