Movie Trailer of the Day: First official trailer the George Lucas-produced, John Ridley-penned, Anthony Hemingway-penned WWII period drama Red Tails.

Based on the story of the Tuskegee Airmen — the first African American combat aviators to serve in the US military — Red Tails is Lucasfilm’s first non-Star Wars/Indiana Jones production since 1994.

Starring Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Bryan Cranston, Nate Parker, and Daniela Ruah, the film is set to open wide January 20, 2012.

I Can Has Lebensraum? of the Day: A six-week-old abandoned kitty cat named Kitler can’t seem to find a home — and the staff at Wood Green animal shelter in Godmanchester blame her Hitler stache.

“Kitler is an adorable little girl who will make a wonderful addition to the right family,” said spokeswoman Tara Dundon. “We rehome five and a half thousand animals every year but we cannot find a loving owner for Kitler. We think her unusual markings are putting people off.”

Another possibility: The name “Kitler.”

Clarification of the Day: As part of a week of 9/11-themed programming set to air on the National Geographic Channel in the run-up to the terror attacks’ 10th anniversary, the network is set to air an interview with former President George W. Bush, conducted two days after Operation Kill Osama bin Laden.

In the interview, Bush explains his initial reaction to the 9/11 attacks, famously criticized in Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11, saying he “wanted to project a sense of calm” so as to not “rattle the kids.”
