Lights Out: Reportedly besting Alex Roy’s long-standing record for fastest driven lap around the Island of Manhattan by just under a minute, the Corporate Broadcasting Company — an “anonymous quasi-anarchist global collective dedicated to ‘IDEAS MEDIA PEOPLE’” — completed the 24.48-mile drive in 26 minutes and 3 seconds.
The feat, which was accomplished on a Monday night “early in the summer of 2010,” required three weeks of surveillance and test runs, including six false starts.
