Follow Up(s) of the Day: Rochester Police descended on a neighborhood meeting held in support of resident Emily Good, who, as you may recall, was arrested while filming police activity outside her home. One attendee managed to grab this disturbing footage of several officers writing up tickets for a small number of cars parked a shade over 12 inches away from the curb outside the meeting place.
Meanwhile, in DC, where two journalists were arrested while recording a public meeting of the D.C. Taxicab Commission, WTOP reporter Mark Segraves attempted to obtain information about the questionable detainment from the commission office. Segraves says he was thrown out by security, and had the office door locked behind him. In addition, Segraves notes, the office lights were turned off, “leaving the entire cab commission office in the dark.”
