Black Sheepdog of the Day: Ci is not a very good sheepdog. For one thing, he’s afraid of sheep.
“If they run away from him, he will go after them and act like a proper sheepdog,” says owner and Somerset farmer Jane Lippington, “but the moment they turn and face him he runs away.”
Lippington told The Daily Telegraph that Ci — who is responsible for a flock of 100 sheep — developed his ovinophobia as a puppy. “He might be the worst sheepdog in Britain but there’s no way we would be without Ci,” she says. “[H]e’s part of the family.”
