Best Prom Ever of the Day: While lying in a hospital bed recovering from serious injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident, L.D. Bell High School student Ben Ross joked about going to his prom in the world-famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
His mother launched an online campaign to help make Ben’s morphine-drip daydream come true, and the result of her effort can be seen above.

Clever Canine of the Day: A 1-year-old Belgian Malinois named Mia managed to survive a house fire that burned for six hours by hiding in the basement bathtub of her Piedmont Park (SC) home.
According to owner Chris Brumby, Mia has taught herself to open doors, which is how she was able to open the four doors necessarily to reach the bathtub. Firefighters’ water soon came pouring into the basement, filling up the bathtub, and keeping Mia safe until she was rescued.
“She acts like a human for most things,” Brumby told WYFF News 4. “And that kind of showed it. She knew where to go and hide.”
