Monster Truck Madness of the Day: Turns out even Osama bin Laden — the terrorist mastermind who claimed responsibility for the bombing of civilian targets with civilian aircraft — had standards when it came to mass murdering innocent people.
In writings obtained by special ops forces during the raid on his compound, bin Laden was reportedly “taken aback” by an article published in the al Qaeda-affiliated English-language periodical Inspire, which advocated the use of “a tractor or farm vehicle in an attack outfitted with blades or swords as a fearsome killing machine.”
According to a U.S. counterterrorism official, bin Laden “complains that this tactical proposal promotes indiscriminate slaughter,” and rejects it as “not something that reflects what al Qaeda does.”
