Supercut of the Day: Joseph Demme @ Cinexcellence has painstakingly compiled a 12-minute supercut featuring nearly every cinematic occurrence of the infamous stock sound effect in-joke known as the Wilhelm Scream — from its very first onscreen appearance in the 1951 Florida Western Distant Drums, through its revival at the hands of Star Wars sound designer Ben Burtt, to its subsequent overuse in modern-day cinema.
