Google April Fools Prank Round-Up of the Day

Google April Fools Prank Round Up of the Day: As in years past, Google stands at the forefront of April Fools Day shenanigans on the web, with several lab-rejected innovations that get their moment in the sun as pretend-legitimate additions to Google’s ever-expanding stable of products.

Gmail Motion uses your computer’s webcam and a spatial-tracking algorithm to turn physical gestures into actionable commands. The same technology is also being applied to Google Docs.

Google Voice is also introducing the “Voice-alyzer,” which “will prompt you to spell everyday words with your keypad, like ‘embarrassed’, ‘dizzy’ or ‘Czechoslovakia’,” before allowing you to phone your exes. Useful!

And finally, check out what happens when you google “Helvetica.”

UPDATE: Other Google pranks emerge: Google Blimp Ads; Chromercise; Now hiring Autocompleters.
