Happy Ending of the Day: A puppy that was euthanized along with several other sickly dogs left in a cage outside the Sulphur Animal Shelter in Sulphur, OK, somehow managed to survive despite being declared dead and spending the night in a dumpster.
The puppy — named Wall-E “after the Pixar movie character who was the only one left of his kind” — was found alive and well the next morning. He was taken to the Arbuckle Veterinary clinic, where he was checked out and given a clean bill of health.
The clinic said it has been inundated with requests to adopt Wall-E, and that a decision would be made shortly.
