Think Of The Children of the Day: A Harps Food Store in Mountain Home, Arkansas, shields its delicate young patrons from the corrupting horror that is Elton John and partner David Furnish showing off their baby Zachary on the cover of Us Weekly.

Dear Harps: This makes you look really bad. Just thought you should know.

[jmg.]

UPDATE: Apparently the shields have been taken down following a vigorous Twitter campaign. The Internet is on a roll today!

What Is This I Don’t Even of the Day: It’s safe to say that Disney isn’t known for providing little girls with ideal role models, but Princess Ke$ha makes the rest of ‘em look like the National Women’s Political Caucus.

Wishes Do Come True of the Day: So, remember little Noah’s letter to PBS asking them “to make a new show named Super Heroes to the Rescue” in exchange for a dollar? Well, with a bit of urging from the Internet, PBS kinda sort of obliged! They’ve put up a Super Heroes to the Rescue page on the PBS Kids website with a special message just for Noah:

Dear Noah: Thank you for your dollar. We are glad you love PBS KIDS so much! The good news is we have two super hero to the rescue shows that we think you will enjoy, Super Why! and WordGirl. Love, PBS KIDS.

The Internet: The best superhero ever.
