Photo of the Day: A commemorative tee from Dwayne’s Photo in Parsons, Kansas — the last lab in the world capable of processing Kodachrome film — where, today, the last roll of “the world’s first commercially successful color film” was developed, bringing an era to a close.

Rumor of the Day: Tim Burton too busy developing a Nightmare Before Christmas sequel to work with Pee-wee Herman? So says the man himself.

According to Dread Central, during a recent interview he conducted to promote his (soon-shuttering) Broadway show, Paul Reubens reportedly said that he’d love to work with Burton again, but that a collaboration wasn’t likely in the foreseeable future given the filmmaker’s many ongoing projects — including a follow up to his holiday classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas.

If true: Best belated Christmas gift ever.

Kickass Kid of the Day: I would ask that crybaby Andrew Garfield graciously step aside and allow this kid to claim his rightful role as the new Spider-Man.

We love our Times Square home and while we’re disappointed there won’t be a Snooki ball drop there, she cannot be denied! So we’re taking a road trip to the place where it all began, Seaside Heights, and droppin’ it all there.

MTV, in an official statement concerning the news that Snooki’s hamster ball stunt was not welcome in Times Square.

Phew. For a second there I was worried they would call the whole thing off. Can you imagine?

Worst Person Ever of the Day: 37-year-old Jody Lynn Bennett of Mentcle in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, reportedly stole a Game Boy from the casket of 11th-grader Bradley D. McCombs Jr. (above) during a viewing at a funeral home in Hillsdale. Bennett initially denied the charge when confronted by Bradley’s uncle, but relented when the uncle pointed out that he could see the Game Boy inside Bennett’s car.

From The Tribune-Democrat:

Bennett faces misdemeanor counts of desecration, theft or sale of venerated objects; abuse of a corpse; institutional vandalism; theft; receiving stolen property; disorderly conduct and harassment.

Jody Bennett “has been into drugs, he’s into alcohol,” [Bennett’s aunt Dianna] told The Associated Press. “He’s just messed up.”

Indeed.
