DIY of the Day: Dominic Wilcox glued together over 200 colored pencils and slices of the box they came in to form this lovely colored pencil shelf.

Made on day 27 of his month-long “speed creating” project, which involves creating one thing a day for 30 days — no excuses.

Scrabble Champion of the Day: Newly-christened British Scrabble champ Mikki Nicholson, a 32-year-old trans woman, fell in love with the game five short years ago when she began playing it online.

The Interpipes Are (Sorta) Leaking of the Day: An image of the epic BlizzCon attendee known as Red Shirt Guy as the non-player character “Wildhammer Fact Checker” (complete with obligatory red shirt) in the beta of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm was uploaded to Reddit on Saturday and was immediately shot down as a fake, only to be confirmed as real a short time later.
