Candle Design Concept of the Day: “The Light Bulb Effect” by Helbert Ferreira and Remi Melander of System Design Studio is exactly what it looks like: A candle in the shape of a light bulb.
The interior cavity is designed to melt without affecting the outer wall, providing the user with hours of priceless light-bulb-shaped-candle fun.

Early Bird Special: New York City, tilt-shifted to the tune of better days.

Lights Out: If Tim Burton remade Weekend At Bernie’s with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, it might look exactly like this.
Needs more Andrew McCarthy.

Ga Ga Ooh La Lawl of the Day: Gaga-inspired scarecrow by Surrey farmer Nigel Britten.
Britten, who was inspired by Gaga’s Brit Awards outfit (above), is pretty pleased with the success rate of his fame-monsterpiece: “I don’t know whether it’s the dress or the hair but the birds are terrified – they daren’t approach the field anymore.”
Speechless.

Tablecloth Design Concept of the Day: “Underfull Tablecloth” by Kristine Bjaadal.
At first glance the tablecloth appears to be a traditional white floral damask, but it contains the most wonderful secret; a hidden pattern that first shows when wet. Sooner or later someone is bound to spill, but where this person usually feels clumsy and embarrassed, he will now feel fortunate. An everyday negative situation is turned into a positive experience.
Demo video here. Kristine is reportedly in the process of examining the possibility of mass production.
