This Is No Joke of the Day: Will Ferrell — actor, comedian… skincare specialist???

Scholarship foundation Cancer for College has teamed up with the SNL alum to produce a line of socially-conscious sunscreen. All proceeds will go toward the funding of college scholarships for cancer survivors.

Ferrell released the following statement concerning the unusual endeavour:

The bottle says it all. I’ve always dreamed of owning a lotion company. And I’ve always hated cancer. Honestly, I’m proud to be associated with such a great charity. I’ve watched Craig and Cancer For College help hundreds of cancer survivors realize their dream of a college education. The stories are so inspirational. I’m just happy to help any way I can.

You can do your part by purchasing a bottle (or three) here.

Tweet of the Day: Whoops! Did Sarah Palin just spoil the where and when of Stephen Colbert’s hush-hush Persian Gulf sojourn? It would appear so!

I guess she just can’t help ruining things for other people, huh?

Funny Fuck Peter Serafinowicz Responds Arrogantly To Being Called The Most Arrogant Man On Twitter

May. 29, 2009

Time Magazine’s Randy James wrote up Tweeting Too Hard, a site which aggregates the most self-important tweets in all of Twitteronia, and contacted Serafinowicz for a response to being called out for his now-infamous tweet, “Went to the gym this morning. As I left, everyone said I was the best!”

Serafinowicz raised the mock-arrogance bar for years to come with the following reply:

Hi!

Nice to hear from you. Sorry to hear my tweet was regarded as ’self-important’! The story behind it is that at my local gym, most of the guys (losers) are jealous of me, as (I don’t wish to boast) I’m in great shape. I’m pretty sure that they call me names when I’m not around, but this one day I’d had an awesome workout (I benched 180!!) and everyone congratulated me… I wasn’t expecting it and I suppose I felt vindicated in some way, and wanted to tell the world about it.

Thanks dude,

Peter.

Serafinowicz then went on to grant himself the title of Man of the Year for 2010 “and beyond,” natch.
