Art We Like of the Day, Take 2: Remember stamps? Artist Adam McCauley apparently does, and his “Monsterologist Endpaper Stamps” won him the gold medal at the annual exhibit of the Society of Illustrators.

Photo of the Day: British artist Stuart Semple released 2,057 smileys made of helium, soap and vegetable dye over the city of London as part of his “Happy Cloud” installation.

“I know at times like this it’s easy to make creativity a low priority,” Semple was quoted as saying. “But I want to show on a very human level that an artistic idea might be able to do something important, even for a fleeting moment.”
